As well as presenting the automatic installation version of Siren at Naves Matadero in March 2017 I worked with dancer/choreographer Miguel Ballarín and dancers Elihú Vázquez, Miguel Mateos, Ventura Díaz and Xak for a collaboration of kinetic sound sculpture and break dance, a collaboration that made me smile through the sheer unlikeliness of it.
The dancers were astounding, defying gravity with their poise and athleticism. Meanwhile I sat at my ancient portable harmonium (which I had converted into a switching mechanism for the installation), pressing the various keys that activated the Sirens.
